Judges' Tasting Notes Below:

Colourless. Delicate aromas giving impression of super clean spirit. This is confirmed in the mouth with creamy spirit with a sweet, smooth, clean delivery. Soft and velvet like texture yet lively movement across the palate. Some sweet notes towards the finish with almost vanilla-like character. Distinctly dry, clean finish.

Note: Commencing with effect from the 2008 Competition; the Technical and Judging Committee of the I.W.S.C. has renamed the previous category 'Poteen' to 'Irish Poteen' , to reflect the awarding of G.I. Status to this specific type of Irish Spirit, by the European Commission in January 2008.
