Judges' Tasting Notes Below:

Colourless. Aroma of vanilla has subtle base notes of grain and a touch of fudge. These aromas give an impression of sweetness on the palate which is exceedingly soft and clean. A classy spirit deserving of its awarded status.

Note: Commencing with effect from the 2008 Competition; the Technical and Judging Committee of the I.W.S.C. has renamed the previous category 'Poteen' to 'Irish Poteen' , to reflect the awarding of G.I. Status to this specific type of Irish Spirit, by the European Commission in January 2008.
